Would this sentence be correct? :
¿Qué pasatiempo te gusta escalar montañas?
Also, I have to write 15 questions, and I don’t want to start off each one with ¿Qué pasatiempo te gusta… ? every single time.
So, I was wonder if there are any other openers ? For example, it could ask,
During your free time, do you like to…Etc, etc.

I am not sure, but I think you are meant to ask in general terms about what people like to do in their free time. Here are a few ideas, you should custom-tailor it to your own activities.
Durante tu tiempo libre, ¿qué te gusta hacer?
¿Participas en los deportes, o prefieres ser espectador(a)?
¿Cuáles deportes te gustan más?
¿Cuáles pasatiempos te gustan?
¿Cuántas veces has viajado fuera de tu país?
¿Cuál lugar te gustó más?
¿Cuáles películas te gustan?
¿Te gusta leer?
¿Tienes un libro preferido?
¿Tocas algún instrumento musical?
¿Cómo te gusta pasar los fines de semana?
¿Cómo te gusta pasar las vacaciones?
