Wow! here in the UK it costs on average about £600 to £800 to be a member of a Golf club, not many are "Municipal" (no membership required) most are private, I’m lucky because in our area there are many clubs competing to get members so I pay only £608 per year, ($1000) In fact I’m off to play a competition this morning! Hope it stays fine————

Its not very hard to get into private clubs in this bad economy most of the clubs are just trying to make it to next year. I would say that the average private club in the east coast is 5 grand a year and in the west coast around 15 grand.

I don't have any experience with private clubs in the sense of belonging to one. I've played at a number of private clubs and it really depends on the location of the club. I know a club in the area I live in that it costs 150 bucks a month for dues(not sure of the initial membership fee). I do know that there are different membership categories that can reduce the amount of your fee. I live in a town of 130,000 people. I've seen membership fees at clubs from 35,000 to over 600,000 bucks. I can tell you that 600,000 dollar fee was at a club in the Hamptons. Membership can be included in a residential purchase within the club community. Yes they have a reputation for being selective about membership(most will say membership is by invitation). Most make social and business contacts at these clubs so they will say it's worth the investment.

Here’s a link that has 29 golf repair businesses in OH. Whether they’re hiring or not is outside my ability to find out. I do know that it’s a tough business to get into. A specialty shop has difficulty competing against the D1ck’s Sporting Goods of the world… even though you’ll be getting more as far as customer service goes from the specialty shop. The economy is rough still, so that’s going to work against you, as well.

I suggest joining either the Professional Clubmaker’s Society, the International Clubmaker’s Guild, or the PGA (not just the Tour and teachers). It costs $$$, but they could help you with job placement.

0.175kg * v + 3.25 kg·m/s = 7.875 kg·m/s
v = 26.4 m/s
So the initial momentum of the golf BALL post-collision is 3.25 kg·m/s
Then the initial momentum of the golf CLUB post-collision is 4.625 kg·m/s

Seriously? You don't know the difference between public and private? Open to the public doesn't mean private. You have to join a private club. If you know someone who's a member of a private club, you can play a private course that way. A public course caters to all.
